「We had an amazing room, The Penthouse, with beautiful views of the coast. Had a very warm welcome. We did repeatedly say the trip was to celebrate our Ruby wedding Anniversary but this was not acknowledged! The interior decor and setting is beautiful. We had dinner and room service, food was nice but menu was the similar and a bit limited but other days we found so many nice places to eat. This is a 5 star place to stay! And the breakfast ? Well no wonder it has won awards it was amazing . To wake up to beautiful scenery out of your bedroom window, cattle grazing in the fields , horses all around - rolling hills and the sound of birds is wonderful. I can’t wait to stay again. 」

「I booked two nights for myself and my 12 yr old daughter. I was looking for somewhere with a bit of character, that was away from all the noise and bustle, had a good breakfast to set us up for the day and food available in the evening. I was not disappointed. The Weary Friar was such a great little find, a proper country pub with great food (nothing too fancy), friendly staff and peace and quiet to wake up to. 「The staff were wonderful, and the location can't be beat. We unwound each night with a half-pint on the beautiful terrace that is set along the riverbank. The building is a lovely old hodge-podge of levels. We were at the top of it, which involves a stairs-climb that could be hard for some. There is ample parking (very welcome!). It's at the edge of the village, which meant it was a short, pleasant walk to find country lanes for an evening's stroll. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly, and would be...
