"We had a very disappointing stay and feel future guests should know what happened. From the moment we checked in, it was clear we were not being given the room we were originally supposed to have. The desk attendant actually had to call the manager to confirm they were still putting guests in that room, which immediately made it seem like there was already a known issue. Once we got there, it was obvious why. We were placed in a ground-floor room between the loading dock and the grease trap/dumpster area. This should not be considered an acceptable guest room location. The window was fogged out and screwed shut, which seemed to conceal the trash cans and service area directly outside. There was no fresh air and no way to ignore where this room was located. The worst part was that you could smell trash in the room. No matter how clean a room may look, if the air smells like garbage, it ruins the entire experience. On top of that, we were awakened before 7 a.m. every morning by either delivery trucks or trash being dumped. This was not occasional noise. It was loud, consistent, and impossible to sleep through. What makes this even more frustrating is that the hesitation at check-in suggested the hotel already knew this room was a problem. A room in that location, with that smell and that level of noise, should either be taken out of service or fully disclosed before assigning it to guests. Overall, this felt misleading and unacceptable."

"Amazing place to relax, rejuvenate and visit Laguna Beach. Although it’s on the PCH, once inside its historic grounds, you will be transported to another place. . Many delightful corners to enjoy the California sunsets and beautiful weather. The amenities, food on site and staff are the icing on top! This boutique hotel does not disappoint! A short walk under the PCH to a hidden beach. "

"Property location ideal for beach access & short walk to restaurants & shops. The room, actually a mini apartment, has separate bedroom, murphy bed in living room, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen & large balcony. Parking, not secure, included. First time staying here but will definitely be back."

"Beautiful view from oceanfront room, as pictured, sparkling clean room, helpful staff. Accessible to north Laguna from trolley and a mile walk otherwise. My only complaint was the lack of transparency for requested early check in. I would prefer a ‘no’ rather than we will see and call you.. I checked every 30 min for status. If i knew it would never happen then I would have made other plans during that time. Expectations matter. "
