Conveniently situated & serves the one of the best breakfasts in all of the travelling we’ve done over the years throughout the UK. The owner-hosts were very helpful & genuinely friendly without being imposing. Only one minor criticism of the room in that I found one of my pillows was flat & the other like having my head on a rock. However, my wife’s were fine, so that made everything alright as she told me to stop moaning😉 Our thanks to the owner Peter for the recommendation for the best fish restaurant in the area ie Number 7. For those who enjoy seafood & are interested it’s seafood as it should be cooked & it was up there with the best we’ve dined on anywhere. Likewise the wines on offer in the upstairs bar area were served by a knowledgeable sommelier with the same wines available in the restaurant were also up there with the best we’ve had.

Fabulous stay from beginning to end. The best breakfast ever. From homemade granola, to piping hot full breakfast, choice of eggs, quality ingredients. In the room bottled water and tea/ coffee etc replenished every day. Helen's home made cake for you to help yourself to when you came back from a day out. Beautiful gardens, friendly, helpful hosts. Excellent location. I would highly recommend this guest house. We were given a suite with a comfy settee. T V in bedroom and lounge. Perfect.
