"I really enjoyed my stay at Halo House. The location is great which is within walking distance of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. The room is nicely set up and has a full wall window which I love. When I wanted to travel to another town for a visit, the staff at the reception desk were very helpful. They helped me to do research and call for a car service. I will definitely come back again."

"My first room had visible black mold, including areas where the mold had been covered by wall paper. It smelled horribly but having arrived from the US I was too exhausted to ask for a new room the first night. I was politely moved to a different room the next day & supplied with a dehumidifier. It was an improvement but even running constantly it was never less than 65% humidity & musty smell. Despite the kindness of the staff, I wouldn’t recommend because of the issues with mold & mildew."

"Bar on 8th floor with great dark atmosphere. Barman was great at making cocktails, friendly, top customer service! Breakfast so much to choose from. My favourite Taichung hotel and I've tried a few with work. Staff always so polite and attentive. All round winner!"

"Wonderful breakfast, lots of selections. The only small gripe is when it gets busy in the restaurant for the breakfast buffet, the visitors and restaurant staff move about in a disorderly fashion. Weight room, swimming pool, hot tub, cold plunge and sauna were all available. Room is cozy and bathroom is quite fancy and clean. Self-serve laundry would be a plus but unfortunately not available. Overall a very pleasant stay. "
