The ryokan has a charm of itself worth trying! The room had plenty of space and was very clean. No amenities though!

Warm, cozy, welcoming room in a traditional Japanese house. We appreciated Katsutaro san’s hospitality. Coin washer and dryer onsite. Walking distance to Yanaka Ginza shopping street and Nippori or Ueno station. Recommend.

Nice place and we recommend it!

We had a very nice stay at Ryokan Katsutaro. The staff is very friendly and helpful and there is a good atmosphere. The location is in a quiet street close to Metro and Ueno station.

I had a wonderful stay. The location is wonderful for museum-goers and is located right next to beautiful Ueno Park, which has many events and museums within its bounds as well as a lovely lake of lotus flowers. The room was comfortable and very clean, it also had air conditioning in the room, which was great to be able to use on some warm August nights. I was also able to walk to Akihabara for nightlife. My host and hostess were also very kind and attentive throughout my stay. Many deliscous restaurants are also very close by.

숙박비가 저렴하며 조용하게 잘 쉬다왔습니다. 저는 침실 외엔 모두 공동사용인 호실을 이용했는데 별다른 불편함은 없었습니다. 다만, 계단이 가파르고 좁아서 여성분들은 캐리어들고 이동하기 힘들수 있으니 관리인분에게 도움을 요청하시는게 좋을듯합니다. 약간 외진 곳이지만 우에노역 도보 10분, 네즈역 도보 5분, 닛포리역 도보 15분으로 역까지 접근성은 좋은 편입니다. 나리타공항에서 우에노역까지 스카이라이너를 이용하면 빠르고 편하게 이동할수 있습니다. 시설이 좋은 편은 아니지만 숙박비를 고려한다면 이곳만한 곳도 없을듯합니다.

昭和的なレトロある室内だけれども、清潔感あり、根津駅にも近く、上野公園にもそんなに歩く事なく観光には便利でした。旅館の側にコンビニはありませんでしたが、酒屋があり朝７時から11時までオープンしていて、コンビニとほほ変わらない品揃えです。根津駅周辺にはコンビニは多かったです。 スタッフの方々もとても良く満足でした。

是传统日式踏踏米,在住宅区旁, 非常安静. 对面超市, 又离上野公园很近. 老板有些严肃,不知道是不是传统日本房东的款.

This is my second stay, I love the location and it’s like staying with old friends. It’s not a flash place to stay but it has heart and soul. Convenient location to the station and parks. And I fabulous little family convenient store straight across the road.

Great place! The owners helped us out immediately and always greeted us as we entered. There's a computer in the lounge that's great for printing out flight tickets, and the rooms are super comfy and are cleaned daily for us. The location is nice- it's an 15-18 minute walk to Ueno Station, which is ok, and the path takes you right through the beautiful Ueno Park. Great place, great location and great owners!

自宅の一室にいるような心地よさでした。 1泊寝る（シャワー、トイレあり）なのでもんだいなし。ホテルの回りにはコンビニ、食事処が無いので飲み物、朝ごはんを買って行きました。ホテルの方も親切で良かったです。
