By day it's just another narrow alleyway common in Tokyo, but at night the street turns into a mini nightlife area for the salarymen of Tokyo. With numerous tiny #bar lining up, the nickname comes from the fact in the past so many drunk salarymen doing their "bussiness" there because there's no toilet anywhere in this alleyway. Today, regulation has been set in the area so it is a lot cleaner than before. The alleyway is very narrow and can only fit at maximum 2 people at a time so be mindful of your surrounding when visiting especially when there's many drunk people walking by from the bars. The bars are also very tiny and can only fit less than 10 people at a time. If you are not claustrophobic give them a try, it's a special experience on its own :)

Check in and out was super easy. The staff are nice and the hotel itself is very clean. It is near the red light district of Shinjuku so I think there could be some adult companionship rentals because they allow min of 3 hours to “rest” but we didn’t see or experience anything seedy. Our room was roomy in Japanese standards, and the shower is large and had great water pressure.

Susuki-san was awesome. Staff were all very friendly. If I had any complaints it is that they still allow smoking in the hallways and it seeps into the rooms. It’s a smell that honestly stays on all your clothes and lingers forever. Otherwise the rooms were very clean and the staff were very accommodating. The location is also in a great spot. Great hotel just hope they eventually ban smoking all together one day.

Shinjuku Hotel

This is a "love hotel" while it is pretty big space wise for Tokyo the bed is not very comfortable as I do not believe the purpose is for sleeping. Anyway it is nice and secure the staff is very nice and helpful. The bathroom and shower facilities are great and everything was very clean. If you are looking for something budget friendly give this place a try.

It is my mistake that i accidentally booked a 'love hotel' which I didn't mean to. It was an interesting experience. The room was spacious for Tokyo standard, clean with good amenities but this place is more for couples using it by hours, and it may not be the most suitable for international travellers.

Our third hotel during our stay in Japan and this was our favorite one, saved the best for last. First of all, so thankful for their amazing staff! They were able to store some of our luggages for two nights as we would be away to Osaka, even if we weren’t checked in as guests yet. When we came back for check in, our luggages was already in our room and one of the staff was nice enough to guide us to our room. All of the staff we met there were so kind and welcoming, most spoke English too. The room was so big, clean and spacious! This room literally had everything especially their toiletries, had a sauna, tv in the shower/bath tub, mood lights, adjustable lighting, karaoke, housekeeping daily and more. On our last day, our flight was not until evening and they were able to store our luggages again while we walked around Shinjuku. We enjoyed our stay and had a great experience. Would definitely book again.

Great hotel in the heart of kabukicho, I travelled all over Tokyo as Shinjuku as my hub, I would recommend this hotel for longer stays you won't be disappointed, room was large had amenities to suit nothing was too much trouble and of course the bonus of a sauna in the room.

Big room (by Japanese standard), nice sauna bath-tub and good amenties, plus convenient location at a reasonable price. While the hotel is for adults only, the added discreteness of the reception actually means more provacy.

Awful. We did not stay and had to purchase new rooms. This was a hotel for prostitution and offered at an hourly rate. The manager and staff was behind smoked glass so we never saw their face. We asked to see the room which they gave us keys but never turned on lights. We were very scared. I Upon my return home we will be seeking a full refund. I will be aggressively pursuing this for the reason that some young people could also have been tricked into this listing, possibly not having the money to purchase other accommodations putting them at great risk. Extremely disappointed that this is an offering for vacation website such as Expedia. I will be warning others of our experience on all of our socials. The impact on us financially and emotionally was huge for our trip experience. I will be seeking advice on how to pursue a full refund.
This is hourly rates. Take note we paid 27000 Yen for a hotel that for the whole night was offered much less. Disgusting.

I think it’s good stay experience here, very kind clerks that actively help me with putting my luggages! When I went to this hotel, i was wet due to raining outside, the clerk proactively gave me towels and umbrella for free! Really nice and kind! I would suggest that you can stay this hotel yourself or with your friends! although it’s a motel and only for adults but the experience was good for me! Big room and nice clerk, own bath area, really good!

For tourists, this is easily better than most of the "normal" hotels in Tokyo. Check in and check out was a breeze. If you can tolerate 3 channels of adult content on the TV, you get a larger room, a larger bathroom, a tube that can fit 2 people together side by side, a steam sauna, and better in room amenities. It's a stone's throw away from Golden Gai, so no need to end the evening early for fear of missing the train.
