「Great hotel, comfortable and clean with excelkent service. As a solo traveller I did not feel as safe in the area in the evening as I did elsewhere in NZ, but that is out of the hotels control. I would highly recommend the hotel.」

「We stayed in a one bedroom unit while visiting family in the Upper Hutt area, which was ideal as my husband often gets up very early and I prefer to sleep until at least 7 or 7.30 am. Our son was able to come and meet us in the morning so we could pick up our granddaughter and head out for the day. 」

「I stayed at this property for 9 days and it had everything one needs including a fridge, microwave, oven, sink and every kitchen gadget along with dishes, utensils, and pots and pans. My room was clean and well appointed. My room was essentially a studio apartment. The prices are very reasonable. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Green Gables will be my go to stay on my next trip to Lower Hutt, Wellington.」

「It was such a pleasure stay! We were staying with connecting rooms - newly refurnished, nice and clean! The bed was super comfortable ! The waterfront view looking out from the window was a bonus! The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful - offloaded our luggage’s & delivered them to our rooms straight before we got in the rooms! Will definitely come back!」
