「We stayed for 2 nights. The front desk staff was very friendly and even let us check in earlier than 3 p.m., saying our room was already prepared — that part was great! However, the room was not clean at all. We could find the previous guests’ hair anywhere, and even a chocolate wrapper they left behind. This is the first time I’ve stayed in a room without boxed tissues, a refrigerator, or even a trash can (or bag) in the bathroom. Very disappointing! After speaking with two front desk staff...

「The location is very convenient and we loved the canal and restaurants just round the corner. We were at the front of the hotel and it’s a bit noisy when the trams are running - but we did know that might be the case. All the staff, without exception, were friendly, courteous, efficient and extremely helpful.」

「Velvet Lodge was a great stay. It is at a walkable distance from the central station which is convenient if you are traveling with family and have a lot of luggage like we did. The property was neat and clean, and staff are supportive. Only caveat was walking up and down the stairs for 3 floors with the bags.」
