Mercure Thame Lambert Hotel

"We had a good stay. The room was excellent very clean. The staff on reception were excellent. The hotel location and layout was very good. However, Breakfast on Saturday morning, 29th of August, was chaotic. Everything ran out very quickly and it seemed that they must have been short staffed in the kitchen, or no-one was checking on replenishment on the self serve breakfast items. Residents were very getting very agitated waiting for hot breakfast items to be replenished . Also I would recommend either another toaster (making 2) or a different type that can process bread much quicker. However, Breakfast on Sunday morning 30th of August was much improved. The single Toaster was still a problem as people were still waiting. I would stay at this hotel again."

"Breakfast wasn’t good value for money. No fresh fruit unless ordered as your main. Getting around the hotel if you’re looking to use lifts a bit confusing. Bed was really comfy and room temperature easily adjusted. Food was nice. All in all enjoyed my stay."

"Have stayed 3 times at the Cherry Tree as it is convenient to visit our son and his family. Previously we met the owner and staff and able to feel confident should any problems arise. This time the only communication we had was via phone on booking in. The room was fine but there was no hairdryer and you needed a shower mat for the walk in shower unit. It was slippy and not ideal for a senior person. Tried to call but there was no one available. We stayed for two nights and there was no room service for the second day consequently no bottle water or top up of tea or coffee."

"The Angel is situated in the historic and picturesque village of Long Crendon in Buckinghamshire. The building is centuries old which is reflected in the architecture. I had a very comfortable room and a bed that allowed a really good sleep. There were plenty of dining options within a short drive. I took a walk into the village which presented some wonderfully thatched cottages and buildings. Breakfast was really tasty with ingredients that were obviously locally sourced. I would look to stay here in the future."
