「Our host at Au Fer à Cheval was Romain, a friendly and helpful man. He owns about 20 English thoroughbred race horses, as well as breeds them. His farm is in a beautiful location with lovely views. It was unfortunately cold and wet for the two nights that we were there, so we couldn't use the pool, and the roads were too slippery for him to take us out in his horse-drawn carriage, but we did see two of his retired racing mares with their foals. 「Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à La Brocherie. Le lieu est calme, plein de charme, avec un spa complet (piscine chauffée, sauna, fauteuil massant) parfait pour se détendre. Tout était propre et très bien entretenu. Un grand merci à Céline pour son accueil chaleureux et sa gentillesse. On se sent tout de suite à l’aise. 「We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is in a beautiful and quiet location. It is small, more like a restaurant with rooms and is very traditional in feel. It takes around 20-25 minutes to walk into the town of Mayenne along the river. Breakfast was good and we had dinner in the restaurant one night which was very good. Staff are polite and helpful.
