"What can I say about the carnoustie hotel and spa. One of the best stays we've ever had, great value for money and the spa is brilliant. All this is helped by the setting along the beach and world class golf course. There's easy links north and southwards from the train station, which is a 7 minute walk from the hotel. We're booked back for November, can't wait."

"The hotel is in a lovely location and has impressive gardens and beach access, which were ideal for us to walk our dog. The room was quite basic but clean and comfortable for one night. Check-in process was easy and the staff were friendly. The free breakfast was not of a very good standard. The continental side was fine but the cooked breakfast was poor and we heard a few people complaining about it. It might be better not to offer free breakfast and instead charge for a higher quality offering."

"We were impressed by the ease of check-in, amenities in room ( including brand new appliances, electric stove, microwave, fridge with small freezer box and an ice cube tray, plates, glasses, cups, utensils… basically a fully equipped kitchenette). Well maintained and clean. Bed is comfortable, US king sized. ( rain ) shower with hot water. AC and heating . Windows in bedroom and sitting area open in case you want fresh air. Breakfast is basic ( scrambled eggs, beans, toast, OJ , coffee, tea ). WiFi included. Close to downtown and water walk. Parking for £15+/ night. M&S food across the road. Bus station steps away. Recommend for sure"
