"Stayed one night at Rose and Crown. Stayed in a double room as that was all left when I booked. Greted by a helpful member of staff and shown to the room. Bit small and one side of the bed was against the wall. Bathroom was a bit outdated and not a great shower. Breakfast was great and Vicky was super. Attentive and polite."

"Very welcoming staff. Rooms clean , functional but very tired, holes in curtains and bed linen. Hot water in bathroom and very quiet accommodation. Dinner was expensive for what it was, asked for green veg and hot cold broccoli. Breakfast minimal but fresh. Reasonable price but hidden cost of paying to park. Would be much better for a little renovation "

"Parking very easy till we booked in and were asked to pay £14, this was not mentioned on the hotel advert with Expedia nor on the email confirming the booking. After some debate with reception the guy borrowed our phone to show us where it was, not under this hotel but scrolled down another half dozen pages and showed us it the parking charges in the general terms and conditions, while scrolling saw the booking charge had dropped by £20, so suggested they took the parking charge out of this, manager finally got involved as we were not happy."

"A pleasant and relaxed stay in this comfortable hotel. Staff very attentive. Good a la carte dinner and substantial breakfast. Quiet surroundings. Shame there wasn't better views of the grounds but that is the layout of the house."
