「Room too cold. Cant be adequately heated. Staff refused to give 2nd key to keep heater on . Cockroaches in dining area/table. Staff ignored when cockroaches were pointed out. 」

The hotel is 100% Vegetarian but there are so many landmark N Veg options at stone throw that this is not an impediment. Restuarant is serving amazing food along with daily live singing by local talents. Darjeeling station where all the Toy Train (heritage steam engine driven trains) start for joy ride is 1 min away from hotel. 」

「It was a pleasant stay at Hotel Sumitel Spa n Resorts. Everything was as per our expec tations. There should be some improvement in toiletry items. Towels were old and to be discarded now. Comid lid was not fixed properly. But overall we liked the ambience. And the most beautiful part is that you can see the beautiful view of Kanchenjunga from your rooms. Thanks. 」

「The rooms were clean and the staff were really helpful. They need to make the hotel more friendly for the people with disabilities. They need to put side rails up and make the hotel more wheel chair accessible. Furniture is old, basically to maintain the colonial heritage, but still the furniture could polished to look new. Otherwise no complaints. They just need to make it more friendly for the DISABLED since it’s on the top of a hill.」
