"This place was great. Normally I stay at a major chain hotel in Shinjuku but I think I will be staying here from now on. The floor-to-ceiling windows let in so much light and the space is open and feels really airy. The powered window shades are also great when you want to sleep in too. Glad there was a washer and dryer unit, because I'm a sweaty boy, especially in humid end-of-summer September. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable and the big shower and bathroom were also super nice. Hotel Metropolitan Edmont Tokyo

10/10 Excellent

"My second straight year staying here for a 10 day trip and it was great as always! Amazing staff and facility, would definitely recommend to anyone visiting!"

Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Ikebukuro

10/10 Excellent

"They were lovely, helpful, very english speaking. They kept our bags for us and set us up for the airport taxi when it was checkout time. All in all lovely. The room even had little skincare for bedtime and combs and things that are easily forgotten at home! Would recommend"

Shinjuku Washington Hotel Main

10/10 Excellent

"We really enjoyed this room. It was spacious compared to other hotels in Japan. I appreciated the sitting area next to the window as it provided a space to put our things and store our luggage, making the rest of the room more comfortable. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were not. I’ve used these same pillows at other budget hotels in Japan, like Tavinos, and I’m not a fan. They have beads in them, making them both flat and hard. I would have appreciated a second blanket in the room, as the bedding is minimal. The mini fridge was nice to have and gave us a place to store snacks and drinks in. The bathroom feels a little cramped, but it was fine, and the water pressure in the shower is great. I appreciated that room cleaning was free and could be requested daily by placing the appropriate magnate on the outside of your door. The location is great too and not too far from Shinjuku Station. There are two convenience stores at the bottom of the hotel, as well as other restaurants and facilities, including a pharmacy. The hotel also has a free luggage locker you can use in the lobby, which was great for the final day of our trip where we had time to explore before heading to the airport."

Sunshine City Prince Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This is by far my favorite hotel that I've stayed in in Tokyo and I'll always leave a review every time I stay here. Despite being about an 8 minute walk to Ikebukuro Station, the location connected directly to Sunshine City Mall and the proximity to all the stores in Otome Road make this hotel the prime location for the last few days of my Japan trips to get all my shopping in. There's a convenient Family Mart located downstairs by the elevators and the lobby, luggage forwarding to different hotels, and direct access to the Airport Limousine that goes right to Haneda/Narita Airport so no need to deal with crowded trains or a taxi. Highly recommend the Deluxe Twin Room on a Panorama Floor for a bit more space and an unbeatable view!"
