「Visited on Monday 15 June. No staff to check in, just a door bell to security they then let you in to get your key from a key safe inside. No dinner or bar on Monday nights so went to the pub over the road. Double Room petite and bijou but adequate. Left before breakfast so did not speak to any staff during our stay!!!! On our previous visit we did have a very nice breakfast. Recommend it but don’t expect to be pampered, more like an Air B&B at least on a Monday or Tuesday.」

「Reception is the bar! Very pleasant and patient staff. Pricey evening meal, but a nice restaurant with a good choice on the menu. Nice gardens including a giant chess set - all very well kept. Big car park. Nice room, clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, but I didn't try the shower. Tassimo coffee machine. 「Lovely brick building from 1902 retaining all its old charm. Now a modern pub/hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had food that evening which was very good. Wine and beer prices were quite step but that's par for the course nowadays!!! The bedroom was well appointed etc. All in all, a great stay there.」

「Check-in and check-out were very smooth. The room was spotless and the amenities were excellent, including the well-stocked small fridge with food and snacks. The weather was exceptionally cold during our stay, and unfortunately the small heater wasn’t quite enough to keep the room comfortably warm.」

Great food and drinks at reasonable prices and both our evening meals and breakfast very high quality. Staff very welcoming and friendly.
