Such a beautiful venue, that celebrates the old traditional way of Balinese buildings while not missing out on any comfort at all. The location is just amazing settled in the jungle right above Lovina and not as cold as in Munduk. We had an amazing stay and staff was super friendly, welcoming and helpful. Even living in Bali, it was a little holiday get-away and showed me new spots on the island. Will definitely come back.

Excellent property and exceptional villas with great decor , private pool and service. Only downside, restaurant and spa way overpriced. 1M IDR for 1 hour food massage or 560k IDR for a curry in Bali is taking advantage.. too bad.

Fantastic Hidden Gem!

Andreas and his team made us feel so welcome in this amazing place - the service was impeccable and the food was fresh and delicious. Rooms immaculate. A hidden gem. Well worth the long transfer from the Airport (4hrs aprox)

Beautiful oasis of calm serenity in north Bali. Close to Lovina with convenient shuttle service or drivers provided for tours and outings. But allow plenty of time for simply relaxing at this small, beautifully appointed property with Balinese’s charm, delightful staff, luxurious spa, and a talented chef. 5-star everything, loved this place!

What can i say the most beautiful room and property we stayed in while visiting bali we had our own private pool villa with a nice view. The staff was very friendly and the complimentary breakfast was amazing i would recommend to anyone and i will be back as soon as we can. Over all just amazing

I did quite some private and business trips in my life, but this was the best service I received so far, it was superb in any way. The sunset view is simply amazing, the pool nice and refreshing (but not cold!) and the dinner in the pool area with a bonfire was so romantic. Thanks to The Damai, making our stay an unforgettable memory!!!

Amazing!

Stayed here for 2 nights for our honeymoon and it was amazing! We had flowers around the room for our honeymoon and a perfect floating breakfast! We ate at the Damai and the food and drinks were 10/10. Service was incredible and all staff are so lovely there! You have to book you will not be disappointed

We had great time in The damai hotel. Everybody is sweet and friendly. Especially Woolan is one of the best! Dining also was great and the place is cozy and quiet. Hope to be back as soon as possible. Thank you to have great time there.

5-star AMAZING

We travel a lot - really a lot, but don't write so many reviews because we are often just really satisfied with our stay. But this time we're just forced to do it, because it far surpasses any other hotel we've visited anywhere. We visited TheDamai quite a few years ago and loved it, and now that we visited Bali again we were a bit doubtful whether we should visit it again, because the price seemed a bit low and we were afraid that the quality had deteriorated since the last time - but it certainly wasn't - on the contrary, this was AMAZING. On our Bali tour we visited 4 other 5-star hotels and TheDamai beats them all, both as a total experience and on every single element. The Damai is only registered as 4-star, but it is a definite 5-star experience. The other 5-star hotels we stayed at were between 4 to 6 times more expensive than TheDamai and it should definitely be the other way around. The welcome was much more warm and welcome and the welcome drink was super delicious and not just something you get. The hotel area was large (and not full of villas) and the garden was private and really nicely done. The room was cozy and oozed quality for every small detail - if you go up a level and choose a pool villa, you also get a fantastic view over the valley and the sea, and a real pool you can swim in (and not just a small pool that can make you wet as at most other hotels we visited). The food was a whole chapter by itself and we understood that the entire menu was created

Amazing!

Stayed here for 2 nights for our honeymoon and it was amazing! The breakfast was so much choice but incredible ! We ate at the Damai and the food and drinks were 10/10 for the evening! It’s so nice to sit around the pool area. Service was incredible and all staff are so lovely there! You have to book you will not be disappointed

This is the first time I’ve written a review despite being an experienced traveler. But wanted to provide a warning to other travelers considering this hotel. The staff are not responsive at all. At first I wasn’t concerned about it. But then they didn’t respond to basic questions about airport transport. The hotel is remote and hours away from the airport. Their lack of responsiveness made me concerned and as a result I changed my plans. I didn’t get my money back since it was a non refundable reservation but felt for my safety it was the best decision for me. If the hotel were in a closer location to the airport and less remote I would’ve taken the risk. Expedia also attempted to contact them and there was no response.

The Damai est tout simplement un havre de paix. L'endroit est particulièrement soigné et offre une biodiversié exceptionnelle. Nous avons séjourné dans une villa avec piscine privée entourée par la beauté de la nature. Nous avons également dîné au restaurant de l'hôtel qui propose une cuisine fine et gouteuse. Le personnel est aux petits soins, présent mais en toute discretion. Cet endroit est tout simplement paradisiaque.

Hier passt einfach alles: Die klassische balinesische Architektur, kombiniert mit einem erstklassigen Service und einer Sauberkeit, die ihresgleichen sucht. Jeder Winkel, vom makellos gepflegten Garten bis zu den geschmackvoll eingerichteten Villen, strahlt Liebe zum Detail aus. Das Spa? Ein Traum! Die Anwendungen sind auf höchstem Niveau - tiefenentspannend und Professionell . das Essen: Jeden Tag eine neue Überraschung auf der Karte, liebevoll zubereitet, voller Aromen und immer ein Highlight. Smuk og rolig beliggenhed

Virkelig smuk beliggenhed med udsigt til havet og frodig natur omkring. Personalet var meget opmærksomme og serviceminded. Gratis transport til/fra Lovina, som vi brugte nogle gange. Hotellet er lille, så man skal til Lovina for at få stemning. Priserne på hotellets restaurant og spa er en del højere end i området, så vi benyttede det ikke særligt meget. Stedet er perfekt hvis man ønsker nogle rolige dage.
