「Recently refurbished to a high standard this 8 roomed hotel was a pleasant one night stopover for us. Our room was clean & comfortable, although the ceiling fan was pretty useless in the hot weather. It may have needed adjusting but there was no information about it in the room! 「All staff were first class nothing was to much trouble,food was good,breakfast was the best,room was clean, very hot but could not keep windows open due to a extractor very close and running until food not being cooked and kitchens cleaned then the music well not our taste but loud so no early to bed, then of course breakfast start up so extractor starts again so early rise even if you don't want it,then the toilet seat broke, was fixed while out, other little things no where to hang wet...

「Check in could be improved. Arrived to a busy pub with customers waiting for service at the bar and no designated check in desk. Several staff just walked past us with our bags and no one acknowledged we were trying to check in for several minutes. The room was okay but not as shown on our booking confirmation - it was an attic room with very steep stairs and a not very safe landing area outside the door. The bathroom had been shoehorned in under a sloping ceiling - there was no shower, just...

「We happened to stay during a heatwave. The room had no air conditioning, only a fan. The room was spacious but really needs an update. The corners of the bed and the duvet cover were torn. The wallpaper was also peeling. The bathroom renovation was acceptable. Breakfast was in buffet style but the refills were too slow—there was nothing left to eat and all the juices ran out.」
