"Beautiful small boutique hotel. The front desk staff, particularly Maximillium, was more than helpful in helping us park our car and recommending places to see and eat. The hotel was steps away from the castle (mind you the steps were all uphill) and other places to see. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Hotel Monastery is a gem! Quiet, local, and authentic. The staff were wonderful, especially Gabriela at the front desk, who was so sweet and kind. Amazing breakfast every day. And a perfect location — away from the crowds of Old Town, but still central. The only (very minor) drawback was a small room (but it is Europe) and lots of stairs (which the hotel is very up front about). I’d stay again!"

It had some quirks, specifically the shower with the head on the opposite wall as the door which made for a consistently wet floor and only half of the shower being usable space. "I absolutely loved this hotel, the rooms were great, beds were comfortable and room amenities were awesome too! It is located in a great area in the city, close to everything with tons of shops and food options around. Easy to access via public transport as well. Prime option for sure! I am not giving it a perfect score because the staff was rude and not friendly at all! They refused to let me park my car even though the hotel advertises parking, because I had not made a prior reservation for parking. I booked through a third party vendor so there was no way I could have known that a separate reservation was needed for parking. After arguing for a bit, they finally let me enter the garage and park my car but the front staff person was rude and VERY nasty. I won't say anything negative about the hotel itself, but the staff could stand some improvement and better customer service skills. "
