A fascinating place to stay - it is more than just a room. If you want your own private space to chill out, then the Manor is for you. Playing chess, reading a book, just chilling out in front of a wood fire or catching up on the history of the place, the Manor is perfect, as is the service.

A beautiful location - so quiet and peaceful yet walking distance into the Strahan village and surrounds. We enjoyed a magical walk to the very close-by Hogarth Falls - very special indeed.

The interior of the property suited the exterior - a period piece of excellence. Staff were great, the area quiet and peaceful - just what we wanted. A perfect location for the railway and river cruise journey's that again were both excellent (recommended).

The rooms are small but the overall building is amazing. Great old building, wonderful sense of history, Nice fires and feeling to the place. We were the only guests, it was winter but I think it had only just re-opened. The manager was very hospitable, was missing a few ingredients for my partners cocktails but the place had a great feel.

Beautiful Stay in Strahan

Franklin Manor was a beautiful historic house. It was a short walk into Strahan along the waterfront. Thomas, the manager and his wife were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast that was included, was beautifully presented & delicious.

A beautiful property in a lovely location. Close enough to town and the foreshore that everything is within easy reach and yet far enough out that it was quite peaceful. A gorgeous old building with wonderful staff. A great place to explore the west coast.
