"The room was very comfortable to stay in, although I thought I detected a slight musky smell when I first entered it. The service was very good and efficient. The breakfast and afternoon snacks (which included Onion soup) was so well cooked and delicious. The building is great looking and the private riverside area and covered bridge just a few steps away were so welcome bonuses to my stay. Highly recommended."

"Very clean and inviting. The view was beautiful and the breakfast was delicious with the best bacon and delicious homemade pastries. The area was great and The Backyard restaurant was great!"

"The resort was very comfortable and close to places to eat. They had a continental breakfast. The fireplace in the lobby was usually burning to take the edge off the crisp mornings. Staff were friendly."

"Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed. The Whip Bar and Grill on the premises is an excellent restaurant with good a good selection of entrees and drinks. I've seen some reviews where people were disappointed but if you tell the staff that the food did not meet expectations, I am sure that they would replace it with something to make it right. There are many people that don't communicate issues. A good estabishment like The Whip will take care of you if you let them."
