There are so many things to say and not enough characters available.
The inn is clean and the price was fine given the busy weekend before the eclipse.
The front desk staff who checked us in was condescending, recommending we make plans for backup plans because of how many people were in town. I plan ahead, I don't need the 'helpful' tone.
There's a complete no smoking policy. They insinuated if you smoke in your vehicle while on the property and someone sees, then smokes in their room because 'they were smoking in their car', you would be subject to a $250 fine. No designated area on the property, you would have to step off (onto the street) to smoke.
There's no front desk attendant after 10p and a number to call for emergencies. The heat in our room was not adjustable and it was 78 degrees all night. The a/c didn't work either and there were doors, not windows, so opening them wouldn't have been safe. Heat being an inconvenience and not an emergency we didn't call the number. We also ran out of hot water for the shower and reported that to the front desk in the morning. The response was "oh, it must be because everyone is showering this morning."
Sounds like the hot water system needs an upgrade.
The place also has very thin walls; we could hear the upstairs guests snoring all night.
Between the attitude, the thermostat issues, and the lack of hot water, definitely not a place we'd stay at again.
