It's a very old motel. The staff is great but he only has so much to work with. There's no real breakfast. Truthfully, I think it was a little overpriced for what we got. But it was a moderately clean and safe place to stay for the night.

Room was good. Bed was comfortable. Could use some updates and the outside needs an overhaul. With the prices they charge the budget for overhaul is probably non existent. The room was clean and everything worked as expected. Restaurants within walking distance and parking right outside the room. Would stay again.

Staff was polite, room smelled heavy of cigarette smoke. It was very humid in the room, the air conditioner was not on. The flooring and furniture seemed somewhat newer, but not cleaned well. The bathroom had a nice toilet, the door would not shut, the bathtub was in really bad shape. The beds were nice and also clean. I would like to give a better review, but there were too many things that made it feel dingey, sorry.

The owner continues to upgrade this property. New flooring and bedding make this even more comfortable. There are local restaurants nearby that provide a variety of cuisines.

Adequate and Safe Stay

This was an older, motel in a safe area. The room was clean. The shower had great water pressure. Front desk staff was very polite and welcoming. This was a good, safe place to be for a quick stay with a grocery store and restaurants nearby.

This property is intentionally and consistently upgrading the guest experience. Their systematic attention to guest comfort has been evident in upgrades to individual rooms, the expansion of television channels, and regular maintenance of the property. You can pay more at one of the other properties in Storm Lake, but you won't find friendlier staff or a more comfortable (and quieter) room. Stay here and treat yourself.

Budget Inn is good for the money.

Not a fancy place, but it is convenient, quiet and comfortable.
