The property was very clean and the staff was very helpful anytime of day! The pool and hot tub were good sized and the restaurant staff was very friendly. The breakfast exceeded expectations. Our room could have had more lighting and there was no where to hang anything...coats, towels, wet suits besides one small behind the door hanger in the bathroom.

This appeared to be the best hotel in Wisconsin Rapids. Our stay was fine. We had great snacks/beer in the pub. A good dinner in the restaurant at the hotel and breakfast was always good. Was it a Ritz Carlton? Hell no, but for where we were it was fine.

Super nice and affordable hotel, the pool was big and the hot tub was nice. The restaurant The Whitney was amazing with great food! The Tavern/Bar was a great atmosphere with good drinks. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast nothing special but no added cost so that's always nice. Our room was clean and very spacious. The bed could be more comfortable it was a basic hotel matress, we were a little sore in the morning. The floors throughout the hotel were kinda dirty and needed to be cleaned. Over all was a great experience for what we needed this weekend. We will stay again :)

The Mead had long been the gold standard hotel in Wisconsin Rapids. It appears that many improvements are being made since we stayed in July. Newly painted rooms, lighted mirrors and improvements to the outside of the property. Weeds and landscaping becoming a priority. We love the Mead in and long to see it get by live and attention it deserves.

The property gets an A for decorating for Halloween. Super cute. The hotel needs some help. It has the ability to be 5 star hotel, maybe lack of staff or whatever but definitely needs help. Wallpaper torn off in bathroom, ceiling tiles stained, tiles chipped on floors and walls, furniture was very well used, elevators need maintenance and the carpet needs to be at least vaccumed once a day, parking lot needs to be re done. The pool area seemed nice, didn't use. Breakfast buffet wasn't bad. Had dinner at the Whitney, not to bad either.

Room was large. No place to hang clothes. Poor lighting. TV’s were very small (20”, maybe 24”), only one had local channels, only 1 had remote. Window lock was broken. Finishes in the room were very worn, especially the window trim. Stairwell areas and stairs were very dirty. Breakfast was disappointing. Eggs were cold and dry, hash browns were cold and soggy.
