I provided my card number for $111.19 including hotel booking protection fee through Expedia to stay at WoodSpring Suites Quantico Hotel with my friend on Friday, 3/22/2024.
I spoke with the female staff in the hotel counter on the phone on Thursday, 3/21/2024 L.A. time at 12:09 p.m., and I told her that I would be there after 11 p.m. on Friday night.
She said I can check in until 2 a.m.
We flew from L.A. to Washington Airport at 9:30 p.m. and arrived at the hotel in a rental car at about 11:20 p.m., but there was no one at the counter, the blinds on the counter windows were down and we called several times for half an hour, but no one answered the phone, so we couldn't check in.
On a rainy, cold, dark night, the hotels around us had no rooms, so we managed to stay at Homewood Suites by Hilton Woodbridge Virginia Hotel in the distance of 10 miles, but the hotel cost was $311.97 per night.
I believe that this $311.97 should be refunded from Expedia.
I definitely made a reservation through Expedia to stay at WoodSpring Suites Quantico Hotel, but I couldn't check in.
Also, Virginia is the first unfamiliar place I've ever visited in my life, because I and my friend were in a desperate situation on a tired, cold, rainy dark night.
