「The Black Boy was a lovely stay in an original pub. The staff were lovely, as well as helpful, the pub was a short walk from shops and cafes. And the staff graciously called us a taxi into Oxford. We stayed here for a wedding in Oxford and it was the perfect stay. The room was very clean, well stocked with tea and coffee, and the local soaps were nice in the clean and modern bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was great, too, with a proper full English breakfast. 」

「Everything about our trip was lovely. Except the room we were given. Our room 17 located at the back of the building above the kitchen. The noise of the air con units from the kitchen started work about 4am. There was no air con in the room and it was extremely warm in there. We couldn’t open the windows because of the noise. Phylis Court is a lovely place to stay if you don’t have this type of room. The service is above and beyond the location is delightful and so near the town 」

「The booking coupon was printed that there's shower for bathing room, but actually my designated room was not the case. However, I was upgraded to an en suite. Thanks be to the manager. But, the shower place was so small and the shower head was fixed on the ceiling. There's no movable shower head. It led a bad bathing experience. Anyway, the room was very clean and very comfortable.」

「A lovely family-run guest house. Everything about the property is fantastic. They are helpful and kind. You can walk downtown or cross the street and take the bus, which passes every 10 minutes. There are shops, restaurants, and supermarkets close by. The room was clean and cosy.」
