So nice being right on the beach. We didn’t mind being by the airport at all, the noise wasn’t bad and we kinda liked watching the planes. We even walked from airport to the hotel and it was a very easy walk. Third floor room was perfect to sit out and see the view. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, especially with getting taxis.

Was in town with the family for 6 nights. The staff is wonderful. Everyone was so nice to us, everyone from the office workers to the restaurant staff at Caribbean Fussion. Special shout out to our guy Lincoln. Served us many nights. Wonderful memories at a wonderful place.

The staff is the shining star of Emerald Resort. The resort is in need of updating, it has a great location and all the rooms face the beach but it is rundown. Which gives off as not being clean. At breakfast one of my travel companions' breakfast came with butter packets and one of the butter packets had already been used. Plus the sugar bowl had empty packets in it and the jelly packets had food smeared on the bottom which says they reuse them for other guests.

If your idea of a vacation includes being awake all night, this is the place for you. A rooster perched right outside my window started crowing at 12:30 AM and didn’t stop until 5:00 AM. I got maybe 2 hours of sleep. This is not “local charm”—it’s completely unacceptable. At 4:00 AM I went to the front desk asking for another room. Esther told me nothing was available. That was false. I saw multiple empty rooms myself, and the next morning overheard the manager (Marsha) confirming they were in fact available. They will all cover for each other and lie. Can you imagine they’re getting paid to stay up all night but you’re not ! How hard would it have been to move us to another room? Esther‘sresponse was someone needs to call animal control. How about you? Do your job and care about your customers needs. Security (Frankie) refused to help at all, offering excuses instead of doing anything useful—even though the problem was right outside my room. I told him the rooster was right in the tree and he said I can’t step on the beach. We don’t own it.. Their solution? A $50 credit on a $200+ stay and about the same in food and drinks. Knowing I didn’t sleep. A joke. The manager could care less at this facility if you sleep at all. So to summarize: no sleep, dishonest staff, and zero accountability. Plenty of better places to stay—choose one of those. They clearly do not care about their customers… Do better..

Right next to the beach, clean rooms, close to the airport, planes don’t run at night so that didn’t bother us any. I’d deffinetly stay here again!

Great place to stay at end of trip however I couldn’t check in until after 5:30 I think because if a wedding. This ruined my evening as I was by myself . The resort is dated but my understanding is there are new owners and improvements are in the future. I would suggest anyone steer clear of building 2. Most beach views are hidden be trees full of roosters who crow at all hours. Very disturbing. Service is slow in all areas of this resort. Once out of the room. The beach is beautiful. There is currently a green eyesore docked out in the water and it is also very close to the airport so there are planes flying over head. All in all, it did what we needed it to do for this trip but will not return to this resort if we are looking for peace and quiet.

I wont stay here again. This is not a 4 or 5 star resort. Its 3 AT BEST. This Restaurant service IS HORRIBLE. The servers are HORRIBLE. We ate there 3 times because its the only restaurant or option unless you pay for a cab. Nothing else in walking distance. Every time the service was horrible. Took for ever. They messed up the check 2 times. The Pool is ok. The rooms are ok. The grounds are ok. The only thing that is above average is the beach in certain areas but its very crowded. I would not recommend or stay here again.

Could be such a nice property, It’s totally run down, dirty rooms. No beach towels, when request, phone in room didn’t work. Coffee machine dirty, ice machine, dirty. No good restaurant service. Dusty ceiling fan above head. Completely horrible. The best thing and only good thing was the view.

Room was clean. There is no elevator and we were put on the 3rd floor for basically an overnight stay. The front desk staff advised us that the shops were open on Sunday but after a taxi ride into town found out they all close early-what a waste of money. The wait staff in the restaurant were not very friendly. Would not recommend this hotel.

La actitud de los empleados puede mejorar. La mujer del font desk me gritó porque según ella había llamado a su amigo para que fuera mi taxista y yo tenía que estar lista porque su amigo no podía esperar por mi. La señora de limpieza decidió no limpiar mi habitación porque le pedí que pasara a medio día yo me estaba preparando para una boda donde pasarían por mi a las 11am y ella dijo que después de medio día no limpiaría mi habitación porque ella solo limpiaba las habitaciones que estaban vacías después de medio día. Entre otras muchas cosas. Pero no quiero repartir mala energía en este chat. Pero si hay mucho por mejorar en el servicio al cliente.

Resort was old and needs work. I love the view of the ocean but staff was not helpful or friendly. Our TV did not work. I heard another customer stating their shower didn't work. Overall the outside of the property needs a makeover. The rooms were not bad. Close to airport but have to taxi everywhere which is 15 mins or more away and taxi charge per person so that became expensive. Would not stay there again.

It was everything. I expected. The rooms were really nice. Clean every day when we got back to them. Staff was wonderful. The restaurant and lounge area on the beach was wonderful. And we loved the water and being close to it. I would come here again
