I’m usually a big fan of Hilton, but this stay was a letdown from start to finish. While the rooms were spacious, they were in poor condition, the air conditioner was incredibly loud and positioned near the bed, and the toilet made noise constantly and could be heard from the bedroom.
As a Hilton Honors member, I’ve come to expect certain perks, but not this time. No welcome benefits. The hotel was clearly understaffed: long lines at the bar made the complimentary drink perk feel like a joke, and the restaurant had slow service with dirty tables everywhere. Not exactly a relaxing or appetizing atmosphere.
I reserved two rooms for a one-night stay and paid around $350 per room, but when I asked to stay until 1pm to take a work meeting, even offering to pay, I was denied.
Bottom line: I paid a premium price for a frustrating, noisy, understaffed, and ultimately disappointing experience. Hilton can do better — and usually does.
