"Very nice hotel is in a convenient location in San Marcos close enough to the main road and the public dock. Solid restaurant and good customer service. Meals were good if not great. Scenic view of the lake. They did a nice job putting together transportation and activities for our visit. Just be aware that because it is in town you may hear some sounds like music and dogs close to bedtime but never after 10pm. I would stay again. "

"Incredible hotel - one of the best views ever, very stylish but according to local architecture and style and not very westernised (in a good way). The staff was super helpful, and nice! "We loved our stay at Refugio del Volcan. We’ve been travelling through Central America for c 8 weeks and this accommodation stands out as one of the best. We had the apartment unit at the top, which has the most incredible views of the lake! The accommodation was very comfortable and quiet at night for a great night sleep. The kitchen was well equipped and nice hot shower in the bathroom. It’s a fair distance from San Pedro town centre but walkable, and very easy to get a Tuktuk to and from the town for circa 20Q. We couldn’t fault our stay and would totally recommend to other travellers! "
