Neat, tidy and spacious rooms with free full breakfast provided. In view that there is no air-conditioning in the room and guests must open the windows to get fresh air, the only drawback is that the windows are not fitted with mosquito screens.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Norfolk lodge earlier this week, with my two children (9 and 12). The hotel is a short walk to the beach or St Helier city centre, so very convenient. On the flip side that does mean it is near a road and can be a bit noisy (we had a room facing the car park / road). The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly and the hotel has a lovely restaurant, bar and the kids loved the swimming pool. The breakfast was particularly great and the kids stuffed themselves every day! There was no kids menu on the bar menu which was a shame. It did feel like the family room we were staying in needed a modernisation. Whilst perfectly functional and clean, it was very dated and had no fridge which was a shame, given we were staying 4 nights. Would I recommend staying at the hotel, yes I would. I would however call and ask for some info on the room you are staying in - I have a feeling the family rooms might be more dated than other areas, but no evidence to confirm that. Ultimately though, the kids loved the holiday and the accommodation served its purpose. The staff are the highlight and should be commended.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. We shared one family room (2 adults, 2 children, 1 infant), which was quite cosy but worked well for us. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool a lot. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was good but could have better options for vegetarians. The area is not the prettiest, but the city centre and playgrounds can be reached easily by foot (10-15 minutes).

The staff were very efficient, very helpful and friendly. I didn't try the restaurant for dinner, but I had some bar food - very good, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. My room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend.

Great hotel, lovely staff

Lovely hotel, the staff were fantastic and the whole place is spotless. The pool was a great facility and the evening entertainment an added bonus. There was plenty of food choices at breakfast although it wasn’t spectacular. We had dinner once in the hotel, which was slightly disappointing so maybe would avoid that but overall it was a fab place to stay.

Nothing to dislike about the Norfolk Lodge hotel. Staff were pleasent. Rooms were good standard. A lot of food options including the Bar meu and the buffet style dinner. A lot of options at breakfast including a selection of meats. Overall an excellenr place to stay. Would highly recommend.

Disappointed.

Staff were friendly. This hotel is in a serious need of updating. There was flaking paint on the bathroom ceiling. The bath had a rust mark running down it. The wood chip wall paper in the bedroom had been resealed & the glue was showing through in 5 areas. Despite housekeeping cleaning daily our room smelt musty. The toasters used for breakfast were inadequate. Force was needed to make it work then the bread came out not cooked. I really don’t know how it has 3 stars.

Great break

Lovely hotel although the bedroom floors creaked a lot. Staff were all wonderful and there was entertainment on through the week, but oddly not at weekends. About a 15 min walk into St Helier, but there is a local bus. I guess the hotel is for the older generation, but that suited us just fine

The indoor pool and jacuzzi are very cold, too cold. And the average age of the guests in this hotel is age 70. I would not recommend it for families of young children.

Hotel was really clean but old style furnishing. Went swimming, the hotel dod not offer dressing gowns and slippers which was a bit difficult as there was no where to place our clothes. But overall the staff were very friendly and the service was very good.

I enjoyed my stay at the Norfolk Lodge with my family. It was a great location. It was easy to get to the bus station with regular services around the island.The hotel is central and would recommend for those wanting a budget stay. Breakfast was plentiful and staff attentive. Entertainment every night if that's your thing. Jersey is beautiful and would stay again if returning.

The property itself and the welcome of guest is on point. Receptionist and cleaners made us feel welcome and engaged in conversation or initiate one in passing. Not disabled or those with mobility issues. Even after using lift, you will still need to climb a few steps to get onto the landing. The rooms are located on. I would avoid dinner if you are vegetarian or expect to have a three course meal. Its actuallly more of a buffet advertised as an alcarte menu. As a vegetarian i ate vegetables that are coocked by itself, well the ingredients to a sunday roast. Not worth the price if you eat halal food. You will have the same food as a veg for a ridiculous price for eating vegetables. Ambiance and music felt like being in an expensive restaurant but it didnt go well the service that was provided. Not even a welcome on the first day to how the 'buffet' worked but taken to seat and within 5 minutes asked what we wanted to eat. Anything that needs to be ordered from the kitchen is written down followed by trlling us where the plates are that dinner works like a buffet. Water poured, no drink menu given (unsure if there is drink served at all) and to get a refil during the end of dinner service is hard. That because of setting up room for dinner. Ambience felt as being on a conveyor belt where you seat, eat and go. Minimal contact with service staff who are busy clearing or setting up and seem annoyed when they are call them away srom whatever theyvl doing. Same experience at break

The staff were excellent - professional, friendly, courteous, helpful and understanding. Always willing to help out and provide support when needed. The food was also to a high standard. The only downside to the hotel is that it is an old building so whilst the rooms are clean and tidy there are a lot of stairs in parts of the building which could causes issues for people with mobility problems although there are some easy access rooms avaialble.

We took our car the hotel was near the harbour in a good location, the main shops were in a short walk and so was the marina, lots of parking places at the hotel, main thing was the hotel the staff were excellent so helpfull no matter what problem you have they will sort it,they all were so professional, the food and choice was excellent all in all i couldn't fault it, i have'nt mensioned the swimming pool and the gym all in the price one good hotel and well run.

We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed ourselves. The hotel itself is a little tired but very clean. We went to the pool once and enjoyed it. The breakfast was great. The staff were all lovely and special mention to Irina at brekafast who was consistently especially lovely with us. We will return as/when we return to Jersey.
