「Having lived in Rothesay for a few years in the sixties I was familiar with the Glenburn but never stayed there. It is indeed a grand building with great sea views but showing its age in a few areas. It was built in the early 1800s so that's not surprising. Parking can be a bit restrictive as the property was constructed in the days of horse and carriage. Staff were courteous and the lounge area with the bar is very comfortable and spacious. 「This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The condition of the room was extremely poor and absolutely not worth the price. What was most unacceptable was that the room I was given looked nothing like the photos shown on the booking website. Instead of a standard room on the main floors, I was placed in one of two attic rooms, which were dark, cramped, and completely unsuitable for use as hotel accommodation.
