「We had a suite which had nice kitchen amenities and two TVs. Unfortunately, only one of the TVs would work consistently well. We had a balcony with a very nice view, the breakfast was great and changed abit every morning. However, there was no stopper in the bathtub, so I could not take a bath (only a shower). I reported this and asked to have it fixed, but it never was. On the last night there appeared a VERY LARGE COCKROACH in our bathroom. We were able to trap it under a garbage can. I...

「The property was under construction while we stayed here. I felt taken advantage of because of this. Any other place we could have stayed didn’t have the noise or displacement we felt. I still paid full price for a property that wasn’t a complete product that I paid for. Construction ALL day, maybe a couple hours of no construction while we stayed. 「The hotel is in an excellent location to MUSC, West Ashley, and James Island. Our room had a beautiful view back toward MUSC and the city. The desk agents were friendly and helpful. While the rooms have been updated there needs to be better maintenance given the older nature of the property. I would stay at this property again but I hope they’ll invest in maintenance a bit more.」

「They were renovating we came for overnight stay. We arrived late Tv didn’t work and got woken up at 7:45 by carbon monoxide detector. We got dressed and checked out let front desk know tv was not working and alarm was going off in the room we originally thought it was fire alarm with low battery until front desk agent told us it was carbon monoxide detector she had been getting notice but hadn’t had time to do anything about it. Not sure if low battery or we were lucky to make it out alive....

「Initially, we chose this property for the location because it is so central to all of the attractions everything is walkable and all the great shopping on King Street is just around the corner. We were very happy to find it was such a wonderful property. Certainly provided for all of our necessities and then some. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. 「We were a little underwhelmed when we stayed at the Dewberry. It is nice but not for the price you pay. We stayed at another hotel for 3 days before that & had impeccable service & rooms so maybe that is why but we didn't feel like there was anything really special about our room here. The location is far away from all the things we wanted to do, which was fine because we don't mind walking, but just something to note.
