It truly is ski-in-ski-out with Red Dog lift right next to the property. Even though Red Dog — and the entire KT peak — was closed and the lower mountain runs were unskiable due to the unseasonable heat wave while we were there in mid March 2026, the base to base gondola and funitel tram are within walking distance. "I wanted to check out the north side of Tahoe before heading to our stay in Southlake Tahoe. The room was fine, but a bit dated. Palisades was rather on the quiet side on this day, August 27. The view was incredible throughout the village. Our overall impression was good enough that we will return in the spring of 2026."
