「Extremely friendly receptionist and it’s so nice to be accompanied to your room rather than be left alone . The hotel rooms are quite quirky with antique furnishings and our room had an oriental/ Asian flavour…perhaps some artwork over the bed would have made the room more appealing.The bed and shower were great and extremely hot water so that is a bonus. 「Amazing hotel in all regards. Really enjoyed our stay. Lovely area, nice walks nearby, great hotel rooms and restaurants. Clean, very nicely furnished. Superb service from staff. Great food in the Hancock Kitchen (less formal of the 2 restaurants) - didn’t eat at the more formal one. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at for many many years. Encourage anyone to visit.」

「I had a little trouble finding the car park but the receptionist was brilliant in helping me out and giving me a pre-printed map and an accurate post code for my SatNav. Check-in was seamless. Food was excellent. Wonderful ambience in the bar. Comfy room.」

「The staff were welcoming, very helpful & friendly. Our room was clean, comfortable and looked like it had recently been refurbished. We had everything we needed & even some shortbread with our tea tray, a lovely extra touch! We ate in the bar & again both the food & service were excellent. I cannot rate our stay highly enough & we are looking forward to returning next year & using it as our base for Burghley Horse Trials. Thank you 😊」
