"We were welcomed warmly into The Beaumont by Dominic and Gabriella. Friendly, chatty hosts who told us they were new owners and had been there 6 months and in the process of some refurbishing but keeping with the features of the hotel. Looking great! They showed us around the breakfast lounge and conservatory, the lounge, entrance door and how to get in/out and then on up to our room. Had all the amenities we needed. The Yorkshire tea was definitley a plus being from Yorkshire and very proud of our tea! We preordered our breakfast (which was included in our stay) and the time we would like to have it. Couldn't of been more helpful! My partner and I both commented how well we slept, even though ear plugs were people idea being roadside, we didnt need these as wasn't much noise at all! Breakfast was freshly cooked to order, and free tea/coffee and continental breakfast to help ourselves to! Absolutley delicious. Checked out for 10am - little chat with Dominic and Gabriella as we left. Absolute bargain of a stay. The hosts also made it for us too. We will return as we do also have family in the local area. Would 100% recommend. Thank you both again. Nikki & Liam."

"No hot water in the morning, bathroom sink to small for taps ended up soaked on 2 occasions. Security chain taken off door. TV very small however staff were very professional and extremely helpful nothing was to much. I think hotel very tired needs updating and security on doors."

"Clean and tidy with everything needed (towels, soap, washing up liquid, cloth and tea towel). Nice and quiet location with a few lovely pubs in walking distance. Friendly hosts and Labradors!"

"I booked this location for my two adult daughters and my toddler grandson. I am sorry to say that the shower wasn't working the glass shower screen was broken off its hinge and fell on top of my 7 month pregnant daughter and grandson. The Hot water bath tap came out so slowly a shallow bath took an hour to run. The throws in the living room stunk of dogs. There were cobwebs, dead and dying wasps in the main bedroom. However the most disappointing aspect is that Idyllic Retreats host Tulluha Ene denied there was an issue with any of our concerns especially with the shower and bath and after saying she'd get a handy man to fix it went completely off the radar and now refuses to give a refund or to admit there was anything wrong at all. I have a dog and a historic old property. There is no excuse to book people into a location that is unsafe unclean and with no washing facilities. Such a disappointment the management is not more professional."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Honey Pod. Communication and instructions before arrival were wonderful and made everything so easy. The space itself is compact but has everything you need — a cozy kitchen/lounge area, comfortable bedroom, and clean bathroom. The wood burner hot tub in the garden was such a treat, perfect for relaxing under the stars. It’s beautifully secluded and feels like you’re tucked away in the middle of nowhere — peaceful, quiet, and magical. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and escape! "
