Amazing place to stay in Siena!

I visited Siena for the Palio, once last year and again this year staying at the Hotel Duomo both times. The staff are very helpful and friendly. You can tell from the front desk staff to the cleaning staff they love what they do and the professionalism shows! They also arranged my private ride from Florence Airport direct to the hotel. Amazing and I will stay here in the future.

Location was perfect for walking to restaurants and sites. Room was clean and large enough for the 3 of us. The hotel is a little dated and old but has some charm. breakfast was good, Fresh fruit, eggs etc was a bonus.

Tony was excellent in giving us advice on Siena, made us feel very welcome and had great humour. The breakfasts were wonderful. The Hotel retains many of the lovely charms and history of Siena.

Staying in center of this medieval Tuscan town made enjoying the ambiance both during day and evening so welcoming. We chose valet parking $30 as driving in pedestrian streets is rather unnerving Breakfast was very good and free with your reservation.

Hotel within the walls of Siena so it is a bit of a challenge to drive to the front. Hotel provides parking for a fee. The location is excellent with shops and restaurants and they main piazza. Walkable to everything. Bring your umbrella!!!

A Great Hotel with Siena Charm

This hotel has a very Italian charm to it that you cannot experience in chain hotels. The staff are so friendly. They coordinated my transfer from Toscana Airport directly to the hotel. It is just steps away from all you want to experience in Siena. They even stored my Palio ticket for me. I highly recommend this Hotel!

Overall, this was an amazing stay for us. The suite was spacious, with spectacular views of the Duomo and the city. It’s perfectly located in the center, close to everything. I highly recommend it. The only suggestion I have is for the property to receive a bit of TLC to upgrade it slightly, but other than that, it was an incredible stay.

The location is best as it is at the center of the city. The information about ZTL and parking option is clear. We chose to find free parking outside of the wall based on the info from the staff and the they didn't mind at all although it will not make them money. The breakfast is superb!! Good and abundant choices, tasty too. Cost performance is very good considering how affordable the hotel rate is.

The location in the historical Siena was great! Very friendly and helpful reception staff. The room was good except the bed was very uncomfortable for our liking. It also had no safe for valuables. Other than that, we would definitely stay there again!

Highly recommend

We were spending the day in Siena and decided to make it an overnight. The Hotel Duomo was a perfect find. The stay throughout our stay were professional and friendly. The hotel is in a great location with amazing signage to help you find your way on foot. Our room had a balcony with a bistro set and a view over the valley with the Duomo to the right of us...a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring and enjoy a bottle of wine before dinner. The price was extremely affordable - I highly recommend a stay here.

Good location. Daytime desk person, Tony, was very helpful. We had a nice view of the city. On the downside, we had no WIFI in our room for three days before it was fixed. Some of the carpeting could use a good cleaning or replacement.

It was a nice place to stay near the Duomo. Staff were friendly and parked our car for us. We could see Duomo towers for our window. There was a lovely small seating area on our floor with a lovely view. I would never take a car to the middle of Siena again. Streets are narrow and filled with pedestrians.

Good location once you get to the hotel. Central to many of the tourist and historic sites. However, the lack of taxis service, to and from the hotel is atrocious. Being told you have to wait until the day before to book a taxis, then when you try to book it the day before, being told there are no taxis available, is absurd. If you want to encourage tourism it’s important to provide the necessary infrastructure to support travellers. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, but would not return unless there was a hotel shuttle or other means of transportation to and from the train station.
