Staff was exceptionally helpful prior to arriving at property and offering suggestions for transportation to surrounding activities. Location was well situated to highlights and attractions.
Ada was wonderful, helped with restaurant reservations and went above what was expected. Room was in a great, old building, lots of charm and well located.
Perfect central location in a charming building, centuries old. Room was beautiful and the reception charming. Close to many restaurants and sites within the city. Parking lot was an easy walk, even with our pull along cases. A short drive to Tuscan countryside and wonderful towns. Really enjoyed our stay here.
Fantastic location and it was very beautiful in a very old building. The staff was so nice and helpful, I would highly recommend. More of a bed and breakfast than a hotel, but so nice.
I had a fantastic stay. I was given many wonderful restaurant, site, & local traveling recommendations. The restaurants were great, just be sure to make lunch or dinner reservations. The location of the B&B was perfect, allowing me to walk the area with ease as well as catch buses to Rome & Florence. I was traveling by myself and felt like I was staying in my own little home in the heart of Siena.
Truly a great stay!
My husband and I and another couple spent two nights at this property as we drove through Tuscany. The owners Andrea and Massimo were incredibly gracious and made us feel very welcome. They (and their staff member Ada) did a great job communicating helpful information prior to and subsequent to our arrival. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Nespresso coffee and tea were provided, and there was acess to a shared refrigerator. The location is excellent, within minutes of restaurants, shops and places of interest. We would absolutely stay there again.
Our host was amazing! Made me espresso in the AM and gave us a tour of his magnificent and recently uncovered 800yr old frescos upstairs! Would encourage you to book that room! The shower was a bit tricky/small for a 6’ American, but otherwise our room was great and the location perfect. Nice restaurant downstairs, but not noisy. Suggest taking a cab from the parking area if you have luggage as it is very hilly.
The manager Ada was amazing. We had fabulous communication from her, great restaurant ideas, she helped us with parking and the rental car. The property is very conveniently located. I would definitely stay there again.
We had a lovely room with an ensuite bathroom. The place has great character and excellent service from Ada and her colleague. Very helpful. There was some noise from the lane but that quieted down not too late in the evening. We loved our stay here. We highly recommend!
Hosts were superb!
Friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Provided great recommendations for exploring around the area based on our needs and interests.
Highly recommend and look forward to coming back.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at B&B Residenza d’Epoca "Le Aquile" in Siena! From the very beginning, Ada was exceptional—she communicated with us before our arrival, answered all our questions promptly, and was incredibly kind and friendly throughout our stay.
The room itself was charming and authentic, with a vintage, old-fashioned style that we loved. The decor added so much character, and the common areas were impeccably clean. The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of Siena, just steps from Piazza del Campo, with restaurants and shopping easily accessible.
A special note about parking: since you can’t park within the city limits without risking a hefty ticket, Ada was extremely helpful in guiding us and making sure we avoided any issues. The recommended parking structure was about a 10-minute walk away, very safe, and well-maintained.
Overall, we loved every aspect of our stay and would highly recommend B&B Residenza d’Epoca "Le Aquile" to anyone visiting Siena. Thank you, Ada, for making our trip so memorable!
Excellent, helpful host. Location excellent, although noisy at night if the room faces any street. Rooms have character and old world charm. Daily service. While there is not a staffed desk, I found the host there every morning and afternoon. No breakfast, but yummy and friendly places nearby.
The property was great and the stay was really nice. The location of the property was really good, just a few steps from Piazza del Campo. Siena was the highlight of our two week trip.. what an amazing medieval city.
If you are visiting for the first time and driving, pay attention to the instructions from your hotel as it could be very confusing. There are 9 gates to enter the city and there are some real strict guidelines of how and where to park and exit. It’s easy to miss if you are not paying close attention. It took us over 90 minutes to figure this out and after a lot of frustration and running around, it all worked out well.
