There is a mall next to it with supermarket and plenty of dining options either at/near the Kyoto station or at the mall. This hotel is also the choice of many large tour groups, so there may be a line for breakfast inside the hotel. There are other options just across the street. "

"We had a great stay. It was near the shopping areas as well as the traditional district Gion. The rooms were comfortable and modern with a bakery and restaurant on the premises. We would definitely stay here again when in Kyoto."

Quiet, fresh and clean, very comfortable, super convenient (across from bus and train station) and lovely surroundings (didn’t feel like a concrete jungle). Starbucks and convenience store right beside us. Of all the places we visited in Kyoto during our tours we continually agreed that this hotel made for the best home base. Breakfast buffet was wonderful! "
