"I was in the Indian Wells area for the tennis tournament, and looking for a reasonable place to stay the night. The Royal Plaza Inn Indio appeared to fit my needs, so this is where I booked. We arrived late at the hotel after a full day of tennis spectating. The first thing we noticed when we got in the room was that the building hallways were not in the best shape. When we entered our room, we did a thorough inspection. A few things we noticed were that the prior occupant's contact lenses were still laying on the nightstand, which was concerning, as that was a giveaway that the room wasn't as thoroughly cleaned. The mattress was old, but had a cover installed. The box spring had a drape over it, but was very dirty and stained. We didn't see any evidence of any bedbugs, but just to be safe we kept our luggage off of the carpeted floor. The parking area was a little darker than I'd like. "

"I have stayed at this resort many times and prefer it due to the location to the tennis gardens. However, I am noticing that some of the rooms are not as nice and in need of upgrading. This year I stayed in room #244, shutters are in need of repair, could use some updating. Later, I stayed with a friend in #247 and again, the shutters are in need of repair. This had some upgrade with crown molding. The toilet did not flush well, had to hold the handle down for a complete flush. Was not impressed with the bathroom toiletries. Worn out tissue in a small basket to hold a small soap and lotion. Get rid of that! Shampoo and conditioner all in one dispenser. I expect this in a motel but not a nice hotel such as Indian Wells. Security locks on your side doors from the parking area does not work. I'm sure they did at one point. This is a safety issue ands should be addressed immediately! All side doors should be locked and a guest key card to allow access. Again, another thing that needs to be fixed. Also, on your website is says you have Tennis Courts. The courts are cracked and in horrible condition. Do not advertise the courts or allow guest to play on them if they are not in playable condition. That is an accident just waiting to happen. Other than that your staff is great, professional and polite."

"Staff was welcoming, but the room was not as clean as it could have been. Dirt in the sink and the shower. Also, right on the train line and near the highway, so there was a lot of road noise. Nonetheless, the bed was clean and comfortable. For a two-night stay, we managed. "

"Very close to Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Hotel was expensive during BNP paribas but i know of other hotels charging more!"

"We booked this place because of the Wyndham brand. The room was dusty, mosquitoes,stain in the sheets, sheet were crumbled ,the lock was broken felt unsafe. The property was poorly maintained.."

"Pools were lovely. Room was very nice. Activities were not consistently done and in wrong locations which was frustrating since I have young kids who would’ve loved them. Cleaning of the room was inconsistent. For the amount we paid I expected more. Food was good but overpriced. Valet was excellent. "
