A conveniently placed bed for a couple of nights while visiting family. Nice to have the choice of no breakfast! and the manager Kay was very helpful and quick to answer any questions.
Lovely hosts and stay. Room was nice, tidy and close enough to the centre for a short walk in to town, far enough away that it avoids any of the noise from a busy Saturday night in Sheffield.
The space was fantastic! It’s very much an extended cottage, and is warm and cozy! The host was very responsive, and went out to purchase a few additional amenities at our request. Very responsive host. One drawback is that there were a few bits that seemed to have been “missed” in terms of cleaning. There were a couple drawers filled with old packaging and garbage, kitchen items had a layer of grease covering them, downstairs bathroom had beard trimmings inside. I do, however, still recommend the stay. It was overall a good experience
We stayed here for a night and couldn't rate it higher, specifically the 2 managers who were welcoming and accommodating from walking up the drive. Very much a family feel atmosohere - will be staying here again. No complaints

Sheffield visit.
We were given a warm welcome. The room was spotless, albeit rather small.

The hotel is lovely but coukd do with a few tweaks here and there. My window wouldnt close, towel rail was hanging on for dear life and nowhere to put shower gel/soap in the shower. Could do with a mini shelf in the shower.
My room was next to a little utilities room containing a microwave, washings machine, dryer etc.
This wad not great due to a couple deciding to do their washing at midnight. I was woken by the door violently rattling, i was literally scared the crap out of me and took me a couple of hours to get back to sleep.
The staff were lovey and the hotel was very clean.
I feel sorry for the owners because you can tell the surrounding area was once lovely but walking there from the train station, i felt i was not safe at all.
Very much an eye opener of the decline of this county but this isnt the hotels fault obviously.
The hotel has a bus stop outside that takes you to the city centre in 10 minutes which is very convenient.
There's a Tesco a few minutes walk away which is very convenient.
Lots of tea, coffee and milk available in the room which is a bonus. Usually not that many in hotel rooms and the mugs were a decent size as well.
Soaps, shower gel, shampoos and conditioner provided also.
Sorted out a double bed for us when it was discovered the room had only singles

This venue shouldn’t have been open. Although the room was clean there was a lot of construction going so that nothing was available other than the room itself. That wasn’t well flagged, and as the TV wasn’t working either, it could have been miserable. To be fair, apart from the strongest air freshener I have ever smelt, which stopped me sleeping, the room was fine but basic. They told me in the morning that I could have switched it off. Even a little packet of biscuits would have made up for the lack of food. Without any amenities it was an expensive stay.

Room clean but strange smell in bathroom and loose tap on sink. Very little room to hang or store anything.
Pictures of eating and drinking area are very misleading since they don’t appear to exist.

The place stunk of cigarette smoke as you enter the property, we was taken around the back to a house which was not advertised.
Was advertised as a cottage, it’s not.
Very basic, Everything cooking wise needed washing before use, tv didn’t work, very hot and radiator was on - baring in mind it’s 25 degrees at the moment.
Huge crack in the bedroom window,
Felt unsafe
Cramped room, interiors not thought through. Steep stairs, no lift. Some parts of hotel under construction. Very friendly helpful people. Reception not always open. Well located.
When we arrived we met Fabio the head chef and Zoe who was incharge of the hotel bookings. They were absolutly delightful, i have never recieved such a warm welcome while staying at a hotel. Also the beds were so comfortable it was like sleeping on a cloud!

My room was 'brand new'. Although I thought that I booked a double, it had four single beds. No matter, I was by myself in the end. It was very very clean, as if untouched, but felt a bit unfinished.
The main issue was realising on the morning of my departure that there is no smoke detector; just a wire sticking out of the ceiling. It is literally unfinished.
We were disappointed that the breakfast we ordered the night before wasn’t that great, the chef didn’t seem aware that we were having breakfast, even being told the night before. It wasn’t what we were led to believe, which was the full cooked English breakfast.
We were told eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, mushrooms, baked beans, tomato and toast.
We got egg, bacon, tomato and mushroom, with toast and a large tub of butter.
And the coffee was instant in a large mug with your spoon stuck in it. We were not impressed to say the least, especially when you are charging an extra £7.50 for it.
I think you are asking a lot for the room as it is.
Also this is the first time we have stayed in a hotel where the bed is not made up for the next day, and surprised there is no staff on the premises over night.
The staff turned up midday, don’t know what people would do if there was an emergency.
Must say though the couple that run the pub next door were very nice and helpful.
I think there are a few issues that need sorting out.

J'ai beaucoup apprécié l'accueil chaleureux et la gentillesse du couple ,et aussi je me suis sentie à la maison.
Mais j'aurais voulu que le petit petit déjeuner et soit systématique.
This is an excellent boutique hotel. Clean, friendly, and reasonably priced. I recommend it, especially for someone who needs just one or two nights in Sheffield on a business trip and with a limited budget. A big advantage is the availability of parking.
