Do not book this location. I booked this location months prior to my trip to Shanghai. I was traveling for business for a week, but also decided to stay a few extra days in the city on my own dime. I booked this location as it looked to be in a good area of town and was affordable. I arrive on the premises and there is no signage to dictate where to go. I stop someone to ask if I'm in the right spot. They confirm, but state that this is an apartment and not sure who I would speak to. I called the number on the listing and was initially hung up on when I attempted to ask how to check into the property. I called again and was told that they were not affiliated with the property management. They have me the owner's number. I confirmed it with the person twice, then tried the number. It was disconnected.
At this point, here I am, a lone woman in a country where I don't speak the language, carrying around a large suitcase. I had no choice but to attempt to find a location with wifi so I could book another hotel. Had I not had my wits about me, this could have ended very badly for me.
I trusted Hotels.com to do their due diligence. I requested and was given a refund for the reservation I could not use, but they did not remove this listing as I requested, even after their customer service representatives confirmed they were unable to reach the property manager either.
Do not book this location. I would suggest to verify the number before booking ANY location on Hotels.com now.
