Best Front Desk Employee: Yan Dan

Last night was our stay in Shanghai.Our rooms are upgraded while checking in. It’s big and nice. But the rooms we’re located on the 1st floor. There is a road next to the window. We are afraid that it might be a bit noisy when cars and people passing by. Thanks to Yan Dan who works in the front counter. She helped us to change the room again, and we have a sound sleep.

Awesome stay ，very comfortable

因為隔天要接機，所以訂了浦東機場附近，在一個寧靜的小區，本來訂假日酒店，被升級到林隱藝術酒店，櫃檯人員服務很好，接送機的李先生服務很好，風趣！床跟枕頭很舒服睡得很好，酒店還有到迪斯尼的巴士服務，下次帶小孩考慮入住
房間很大，插頭很多不怕沒有地方充電

Hardly anyone except the front desk staff speaks English. After checking in, the staff member who showed me to my room only came partway, then pointed toward a room that wasn’t even visible — up the stairs and to the left — and explained in Chinese. There was no bathrobe in the room. The TV turned on, but no channels were available. There were no instructions or manuals for the room facilities anywhere. The Wi-Fi password wasn’t written anywhere in the room, and the front desk didn’t provide it either. When I tried to call the front desk from the room phone to ask, I found the phone was broken and couldn’t connect to anything. I had booked a plan that said “朝食（無料）,” which means “Breakfast (free)” in Japanese. However, the next morning, the restaurant staff told me I had to pay an additional charge. I went back to my room, brought a printed copy of my Expedia booking confirmation to the front desk, and only then was I finally allowed to have breakfast without paying extra. I chose this hotel because it was close to the airport for my early morning flight, but I ended up wasting a lot of time.

Room very clean, and spacious. Served as excellent overnight stop prior to early morning flight. Shuttle to airport takes 30 minutes, and is only hourly to airport in early morning, so we opted to take a taxi, which took 15 minutes..

I stayed at the Shanghai Lintin Holiday Hotel for one night, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had. When I arrived in the evening, the front desk staff were not helpful at all. They simply handed me a key without giving any directions or assistance. None of them spoke English, so I had no idea where to go until a kind security guard finally showed me the way. I had booked a Classic Double Room as shown online, but instead I was placed in a family room meant for parents with kids. The place was noisy, with thin walls—I could clearly hear people in the neighbouring rooms talking and using the bathroom. The TV didn’t work, the heating was broken, and the room was freezing cold throughout the night. The bathroom was also in very poor condition. The shower didn’t work properly, there was no shower gel provided, and the toilet made loud noises every time it was used. On top of that, the room had an unpleasant smell that made the stay even worse. The next morning, the hotel staff kept calling my room to remind me that check-out was at 2 p.m. I was already aware of that—that was the one of reasons I had chosen this place. The photos and descriptions online are completely misleading. What’s advertised as a “wonderful” and comfortable stay is far from reality. I honestly regret spending my money here and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Even for a short stay, it’s simply not worth it.
