Flies and lies! Hello Expedia Customer Service,
I have been a loyal and faithful client with Expedia for many years, and my husband and I recently booked a stay at The Gould for a Labor Day getaway. While I want to acknowledge that the customer service from Terrie was excellent she was helpful, attentive, and doing her very best
the overall condition of the hotel was one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered. It’s was like staying at a bates hotel.
From the moment we entered our room, the issues began. The wall light switch did not work, forcing us to use the flashlights on our phones just to find our way. The couch and pillows were run down, torn, and in unacceptable condition. When we inquired about the restaurant and bar, we were told they had been closed since July, but that was misleading. In fact, many of the amenities advertised online were either unavailable or inaccurately represented.
It became clear that the photos and reviews we saw online were from previous ownership and did not reflect the current reality. The shower and toilet were not properly cleaned, towels had stains on them, and we even found hair left behind from previous guests. The furniture was broken, the air conditioners were taped up, and our bathroom had no window treatments, leaving us without privacy. There were no rugs on the floors, and overall the room felt neglected and unsanitary. The Tv was crocked on the wall.
Breakfast was equally disappointing, Flies and lies served us.
