"We stayed here in July for one night and it was like being invited to a house party. The welcome could not have been friendlier. The accommodation was perfect and the little terrace was bathed with early evening sunshine, very pleasant. The Air con was very welcome later though. We didn't have the evening meal but it smelled delicious!! Breakfast was exactly what we needed. it was ideal and a lovely change from a chain hotel. Thanks, A little Gem!! "

This 'plus beau village' is a little off the beaten track, but worth a visit. Its eponymous chateau is privately owned and left to ruin above the village, but the beautiful small river winds through it and there is a lovely park by the river with picnic tables and a couple of restaurant/bars.
