But my favorite parts of Sedona are the little known secret places, that you can explore and experience without the crowds. This gem is one of those secret locations. Sedona almost never gets snow, and when it does snow, it rarely sticks. So when a giant snow storm shut down the whole city last winter, we were dying to go out and get some epic snow pictures! Locals refer to this spot as the Birthing Cave. It is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy parts of the city. It is a fairly easy hike to get here, but getting up into the cave is a whole other story! It requires a lot of scrambling, and some serious guts! Loved our stay at Arabella, we hiked right from the property and it had a prime location for our other hikes, such as Cathedral Rock. Breakfast buffet was included and always restocked and a little bit different every day. Within walking distance was various restaurants, shops and spectacular views.

Best continental breakfast ever. Everything was delicious and fresh tasting. Iā€™d go back just for the breakfast. Beautiful walking trail right behind the hotel that was doable with small children. It ended up being our favorite trail of the trip. The hotel itself was quaint, quiet, cozy and clean. The room was spacious and clean. We would definitely boom again.
