We came to relax, and that's what this place was perfect for. The attention to detail when it came to the amenities was outstanding right down to the small details.
Quiet place. Waterfront with an excellent view. Perfect for relaxing, reading, writing, kayaking, paddle boarding and many more. 15 min from Sechelt downtown.
Tuwanek hotel has gorgeous views from the top floor rooms and is incredibly romantic at sunset. Stayed in the Casablanca room and the massive room has a king bed, full body shower and claw foot tub. The hotel also allows you to use their Kayaks & paddle boards on the water in their backyard. This place has a very unique setup for their hot tub underneath a bunch of grape vines that add such a cool atmosphere while enjoying the tub. There's also a steam cave, bbq, smoker, multiple areas to relax and a firepit. Highly recommend staying here for your anniversary or romantic getaway.
This place is absolutely amazing and super quiet. We chose the Casablanca room overlooking the water and saw seals and eagles during our stay. The use of the canoe was great and we really enjoyed the hot tub and steam room.
Wonderful from the moment we arrived to the time we left. Absolutely gorgeous hotel and surroundings. A lot of little extras (use of kayak and canoe, hot tub and steam) Wonderful tour upon arrival. Will be back!
What a nice discovery the Tuwanek Hotel was for us as it was our first stay. The house is beautiful and nicely located in a quiet area with access to a private beach. Amenities are fantastic. We stayed in the huge and nicely appointed Sunset suite. Breakfast was copious and delicious. I definitely want to go back soon!
Amazing place in a beautiful location! Loved watching the resident seals in the bay, orcas, bald eagle, hummingbirds, etc. so tranquil and peaceful. The use of the games room was a bonus as well as the water activities available for use. We had everything we needed for a comfortable and peaceful stay.
This place is an absolute dream. If you're interested in a cozy atmosphere not far away from town, this is it. You found it.
We stayed at the sunset Beach suite, which gave you access to their game room. It has a mini fridge, a bar, a pool table, and a home theater room. It is well stocked with board games, fishing gear, as well as a couple of guitars should you be inclined to play.
If you're the outdoors type, there are numerous hikes you can embark on not very far away. There's a private access to the beach. The water socks, kayaks, canoes, life jackets, are all within reach for you to use.
Give it a chance, and you'll likely be planning your next trip here as soon as you arrive.
The attention to detail is outstanding, they really anticipate anything you might need and male you feel pampered and taken cared of. The property is in a beautiful spot and offer a variety of spots to enjoy the scenery or be active.
It was my best friends birthday and we decided to do an over night here and then got massages in the morning. Property is quite and beautiful, private beach. Room was big with awesome shower and claw foot tub. The view from the deck was stunning. Hot tub and steam were awesome. Spa cabin on the property. They made us an amazing Dutch pancake filled with fruit. Small hideaway close to Sechelt. Was wonderful from start to finish.
Loved everything about this place! Beautiful and quiet, it had everything I could have asked for as a solo traveler.
I stayed in the Casablanca room. The bed was so comfortable! The clawfoot bathtub was such a treat, and the shower was lovely too. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought and effort into every part of this room. The little touches they provide like chocolates, bath salts, robes, water filters, etc. really make you feel pampered. The whole vibe is soothing.
I spent a lot of time on the patio deck taking in the gorgeous view and just listening to the sounds of nature. I also spent time walking on the beach.
It was exactly what I needed for a mental reset. I would love to come back and I hope to do so soon.
A charming and quiet spot in a beautiful setting. The room was spacious, comfortable, and exactly as pictured. Breakfast was delicious and served hot to our room. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, but gave us plenty of privacy. I would love to return in summer to better enjoy a sunset on the balcony, sitting in the garden, swimming at the beach, and paddling around the bay. Highly recommended if what you're looking for is comfort, quiet, privacy, and natural beauty.
We spent three very relaxing days in this property. The hotel has only three rooms and therefore is quiet. Direct beach access with all the equipment provided for a fun Canadian experience like kayaking, snorkelling, swimming, standup paddling etc. the host is welcoming, the rooms big with balcony. The bathroom is spacious with great shower and bathtub. The room has a coffee maker, fridge, cups, glasses, plates and silverware. We enjoyed this hotel a lot and can it highly recommend.
Amazing spot for couples. Three places to stay there. We had sunset room. Really nice room and you get use of the game room and media room. Hot tub is shared with other guests as well as the steam room but there would only ever be 6 people there at a time. So it’s a problem. The beach is amazing!!! Plus free use of kayaks and canoes. Water shoes life jackets provide too. There is an option to have breakfast made for you but besides that you would have to bbq n wood oven everything outside. Highly recommend to stay here as a couple.
