Explorer Hotel Berchtesgaden exceeded our expectations. The rooms -- with all having an amazing view -- provides a very efficient use of space. The breakfast buffet is outstanding -- offering an array of delicious items. And the service staff was top notch. And you can't find a better location to the popular attractions. Bus line 840 and 843 is a quick 10-minute trip from the Berchtesgaden train station. And the boat ride and Jennerbahn are 1 and 2 bus stops respectively. If you are an active person who wants great accommodations and easy access to the attractions of Berchtesgaden National Park, you will be hard pressed to find a better option.

Our stay at the Explorer hotel was enjoyable. Our room was comfortable, we enjoyed the spa facilities, and we appreciated the complimentary breakfast included in our booking. One note about our bathroom: it was very easy for water to spill out from the shower area which caused quite a bit of mess on the floor. We would have appreciate more towel or room cleaning service every day instead of at the end of our stay.

Very unique hotel with a hip and modern vibe. If you do skiing or biking, you will likely find this hotel very useful because there are many amenities for sports that I have not seen in other hotels, such as gear lockers and a workbench for repairs. The hotel is clean and the basic double room was of a good size. We always travel with our dog, so we were glad that he could stay with us. Parking was easy, and available both underground and open-air. The breakfast was adequate. There was a self-service egg counter. While it is in a peaceful location, it is of walking distance to the lake. The price was also quite good for the region. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for an enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Für einen Ausflug zum Königssee oder auf den Jenner perfekt gelegen, weil fußläufig erreichbar. Nicht gut sind die harten unbequemen Matratzen der Zimmer. Hier muss unbedingt was getan werden. Keine Lüftungsmöglichkeit im Badezimmer. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hier auch viel zu hoch. Im Gesamten ist das Hotel okay. Würde ich aber nicht wieder buchen.

Lage top.Ansonsten gutes Niveau mit Luft nach oben

Positiv zu erwähnen sind die Lage, die freundlichen Mitarbeiter:innen, die Abstellmöglichkeiten für Fahrräder/Equipment und das wirklich gute Frühstücksbuffet. Ansonsten sind die Zimmer sehr hellhörig, ohne Klimaanlage und es gibt weder Duschbad in der Dusche noch Zahnputzbecher am Waschbecken. Saunatücher kosten extra, was einige Besucher dazu verleitet, die Sauna mit unzureichend großen Handtüchern zu nutzen. Hier wird an der falschen Stelle gespart. Der Fitnessraum umfasst ein Fahrradergometer, ein Laufband, ein Elipsentrainer und mein Multigerät. Zum Indoor-Sport kommt man wohl eher nicht hier in die Region 😉 Fazit: Die Mitarbeitenden im operativen Tagesgeschäft geben ihr Bestes, um den Gast einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu bereiten. Einige (offensichtliche) Managemententscheidungen könnte man zumindest mal kritisch prüfen.

Det var en bra vistelse. Trevlig frukost och fin utsikt från rummet, men hej vad dåliga de är på att kommunicera. Jag behövde skicka ett antal frågor innan min vistelse, men fick inget svar. Personalen på plats var riktigt dåliga på engelska. Konstigt i ett "turist" hotell.....

Eine sehr gute und schöne Unterkunft. Das Frühstücksbuffet war vielfältig und besonders toll fanden wir, dass man sich selbst Rührei, Spiegelei etc. machen konnte. Die Zimmer waren schön und ausreichend. Uns fehlte allerdings ein Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer. Und ein von zwei Betten haben etwas geknackt, wenn man sich bewegt hat. Teewasser am Abend am Kaffeeautomaten war mit 4,- EUR pro Tasse etwas überzogen. Daher am Besten einen Wasserkocher mitbringen.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt. Das Personal war nett & hilfsbereit. Nur wenige Minuten bis zum Königsee. Unser Zimmer war sehr ruhig und das Frühstück war super. Ein Stern Abzug für die Betten, die waren nicht so bequem.

Ein Hotel, was meine Erwartungen NICHT erfüllt hat. Zur Pro Liste gehören die großen Zimmer und das freundliche Personal. Dann gibts aber leider nichts mehr. Wirklich negativ überrascht war ich vom Frühstück. Ich weiß nicht ob das frische Brötchen sein sollen, schmecken aber definitiv nicht frisch. Eher wie zum zweiten Mal aufgebacken. Die Lage um das Hotel ist schlecht gestaltet. Wer zu Fuß zum Königssee möchte, der muss immer 5min Umweg gehen da keine Wege direkt zur Straßen sind. Man könnte definitiv kürzer kommen, da wird aber mit einem auf „kein Durchgang“ Schild verwiesen. Die Parkmöglichkeit ist meist gut, aber nur wenn man vor allen anderen kommt. Abends ist der gesamte Parkplatz komplett voll. Zudem sind die meisten Plätze sehr eng gestaltet. Wer dann sich eine Auszeit im Zimmer nehmen möchte, wird nochmal enttäuscht. Mehrere Teile der Duschamatur fehlten. Beim Duschen veränderte sich die Wassertemperatur deutlich und das auch noch kontinuierlich. Und wer sich dann noch die Haare föhnen möchte, der muss leider nach einer halben Minute damit fertig sein. Länger möchte der Föhn im Bad nicht. Wenn man da 5min wartet, der kann dann wieder für 30 sek weiterföhnen. Die Zimmer sind wirklich schön groß aber laden natürlich für viel Krach ein. Man liegt im Bett und man hört es immer wieder laut rumsen, die Türen die zugehen. Oder Zimmernachbarn in nicht unmittelbarer Nähe, die sich gegenseitig ihre Liebe gestehen, hört man leider auch. Preis Leitung passt einfach nicht.
