Lovely short break

A well thought out letter with local details re travel there and address and access. A nice country location in open countryside close to open fields. Quiet road enjoyable walk in a morning and evening with the dog Cottage very clean all facilities thought about and provided Well equipped kitchen and very clean Fast running bath and shower very clean bathroom Lounge dining room clean tidy Bedroom spaces good but double bed normal size so if your tall or used to bigger bed consider that on booking. only point was disturbance from the constant background noise of radio or tv from next door. Close to Scarborough for all facilities and trips. Close to walking destinations and we had great days out by sea and Dalby forest Summer house would be good in warmer days we used for one short time in sunny days over looking fields Garden well maintained Plenty of instructions in home re heating rubbish disposal etc and numbers and file for manager / owners if any breakdowns etc

Lovely, spacious cottage, comfortable beds, nice to have a separate lounge to sleeping areas, bed linen & towels supplied, washing machine, dishwasher, iron & board & vacuum available if needed. Very clean & tidy with cleaning products available for use. Would recommend to stay & would stay again.

Happy holiday spot near Scarborough

Woodpeckers Cottage was a lovely homely place to use as a base to discover the Scarborough area. The house was located in a quiet rural landscape with lovely views, an enclosed garden (which was safe for our dogs), good outdoor seating plus a gorgeous cabin to sit in if it rained but you still want to enjoy the outdoors. Inside the house there was everything you could need for a self catering stay although we spent most meal times in some excellent nearby pubs and restaurants. One of the single beds was not the most comfortable for an adult but after lots of walking not too much sleep was lost. There is an adjoining property where a lovely, elderly lady lives but this does not detract from the merits of the cottage at all. It might just be worth considering if groups planned very noisy nights. For families this would be a great place as there are horses and cows in the surrounding fields and lots of grass to run around on or play games. Overall we would recommend this cottage to families or small groups of friends looking for a peaceful retreat.

What a wonderful cottage. It had everything you think you might need and more besides. Cosy and comfortable and well heated for wintery days. Would highly recommend a stay at Woodpeckers and we will definately be back
