「The room was WONDERFUL for what it claims to be. The room style is antiquated without feeling tired. The quilts, couch, chairs and bathroom fixtures all were clean and fresh. Room was spacious and staff was friendly. There are few amenities, but the property is clear about this in their advertising. I highly recommend!!!」

「We had a great stay at Whitecap. The 3 Queen Suite was perfect for our group, plus our dog Murphy. It was very clean and ready upon our arrival. They did their best to keep lifts open and skiing available despite the very very cold temps. The staff was friendly and Denali was a highlighted staff member throughout the weekend that we saw! Kudos to her hard work. We hope to do another weekend stay in the future here. 」

「It's a beautiful historic building on Lake Superior, but you wouldn't know the building is old by the updates in the room. Everything was clean, comfortable and in good condition. Baseboard heat eliminated the loud blowing noise from a wall-mount unit such as those in most hotels. Breakfast had great selection and overall quality, but should have been warmer.」

「This is exactly as advertised. Clean, has a microwave and frig, convenient location and parking, and the price is right. A good night’s sleep and back to the great outdoors. 」

「Landed here late at night after my previous reservation in nearby Hurly didn’t answer. The man at the front desk was wonderful and even gave me some spring water from by the lake for me and my dog. Turned a really bad night around after driving 40 miles in the snow from the original “hotel”. The pool area looks really fun, I would absolutely stay here again. 」
