There is not much in that town, we did most of our eating out in Helen, GA. We went to Tallulah Falls which also was a bit of a drive but well worth it.

"We loved everything about this location. It could use a larger TV downstairs, hotels don't have 19" tv anymore. There is a steep hill to walk down to take the path to downtown, not advisable for seniors. But you can park at the bottom by the path of you don't want to walk up the very steep hill. ..."

The location IS nice. It is near Hellen an central to a number of trails and waterfalls. A great place to ‘get away’. Oh, and if you want to disconnect from the grid, the Bear Paw cottage we stayed at had NO cell service or internet connection!
