The beautifully landscaped property was it for me! As we drove onto the property, I knew we had chosen the right place to lodge for 4-days and 3-nights. When we initially walked through the doors, we were warmly greeted by two woman at the front desk (I forget their names, sorry!) and an older gentleman who, sadly, did not acknowledge us at all. We did not allow his subtle facial gestures to prevent us from having a great time in the Sarasota area. However, the day before we left, as we had come in from a late lunch, he faintly smiled at us.
Our room was by the elevator on the 2nd floor; it was quite spacious, meticulously clean, and comfortable. We slept very well each night.
Breakfast was complimentary and delicious! There was a large assortment of pastries, baked goods, waffles one can make, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, link sausages, cold cereal, fresh fruit, fruit cocktail, milk, fresh orange juice, other juices, and hot beverages. There was a very kind gentleman who managed the dining area. The women who prepared breakfast were very kind and friendly.
I must acknowledge Becky!! She was genuinely personable and perky, and asked us about our stay as we checked out.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay! We would consider lodging at Carlisle Inn again.
